Caprine Crew!

Caprine Crew is open to all youth ages 6 - 18 who are interested in working with and learning about dairy goats. We will be participating in Maine 4-H Days at Windsor Fairgrounds and the Skowhegan, Bangor and Farmington 4-H Fairs.  Possibly more than just those depending on dates and availabilty.
The youth learn showmanship and general goat knowledge, while learning life skills such as responsibility, dependability, working with others, perseverance, and patience. Our goal each year is to be eligible to attend the Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, MA., where the youth can compete with 4-H'ers from 6 states, in clipping contests, skillathons, certified milk outs, fitting, judging and showmanship competitions.

We as a group participate in other activities that the State offers. We offer time doing community service, and the youth are encouraged to participate in public speaking on demonstration day in the county, and when ever an opportunity presents itself.
